藻岩原始林と山頂からの風景

藻岩山は札幌市中心部から南西5kmに位置する、標高531mの低山。山体一帯は一部の開発された地形を除き、藻岩原始林として保存されている。同林一帯は天然記念物に指定されており、敷地内を通る遊歩道からのみ観測可能だが、山頂までは車両及びロープウェイでも訪問出来る。

Moiwa Primeval Forest and the view from the summit.

Mt. Moiwa is a low mountain 531 m above sea level, located 5 km southwest of central Sapporo. The entire area of the mountain is preserved as the Moiwa Primeval Forest, with the exception of some developed terrain. The forest area is designated as a natural monument and can be observed only from the walking trail that passes through the site, but the summit can also be reached by car or ropeway.
