稜線美を感じる、神威岬

積丹半島の突端に有り、日本海に沿って伸びている岬。ニセコ積丹小樽海岸国定公園内に位置する。沿岸一帯は暗礁で古くから海上交通の難所として知られる。先端部は稜線がそのまま海に落ち込む断崖絶壁、沖合には神威岩と呼ばれる岩礁がある。周囲は漁港に囲まれていて、毎年ウニ漁の解禁時期は漁船で賑わう。同じ頃、地上部には一面にエゾカンゾウが咲き、毎年景観が一新される。

Feel the beauty of the ridge, Cape Kamui

Cape at the tip of the Shakotan Peninsula, extending along the Sea of Japan. It is located within the Niseko Shakotan Otaru Kaigan National Park. The coastal area is covered with reefs and has long been known as a difficult point for maritime traffic. The tip of the cape is a precipitous cliff whose ridge drops directly into the sea, and there is a reef called Kamui Iwa offshore. It is surrounded by a fishing port, which is crowded with fishing boats every year when the sea urchin fishing season opens. At the same time, Ezo kanzo blooms all over the ground, renewing the landscape every year.
