海へ突き出る北見神威岬
語源をアイヌ語「カムイ・エトゥ（神の岬）」に持ち、周辺の旧国名である”北見”の名前を残す岬。国道238号線の途中、北オホーツクトンネルを迂回する北見神威岬観光道路の途上に在り、毎年5月～10月の期間のみ車両通行可能。
Cape Kitami Kamui juts out into the sea
This cape is named after the Ainu word “Kamui etu” (Cape of the Gods) and retains the name “Kitami”, the old name of the surrounding country. Located on the Kitami Kamui Cape Tourist Road, which bypasses the North Okhotsk Tunnel in the middle of National Route 238, the cape is open to vehicles only from May to October every year.
