林道の奥深く、函岳山頂から見る北海道北部

北海道の美深町側、枝幸町側両方から進入出来る林道を抜け、山頂まで車両で到達出来る、北海道唯一の山。山頂からは周辺一帯の地形が一望出来、気軽に訪れることの出来る景勝地として知られる。天気が良ければ日本海・オホーツク海両方が望める。林道は降雪状況に合わせ、毎年5月下旬〜10月上旬を目安に通行可能。

The only mountain in Hokkaido where the summit can be reached by vehicle via a forest road accessible from both the Mibuka and Edasachi sides of Hokkaido. The summit commands a panoramic view of the surrounding area and is known as a scenic spot that can be easily visited. Weather permitting, both the Sea of Japan and the Sea of Okhotsk can be seen. The forest road is open to traffic from late May to early October every year, depending on snowfall conditions.
