天空の湖畔から見る朝日

ヒサゴ沼は大雪山系の中央部、標高1,690mに位置する天空の湖沼。湖畔には避難小屋とキャンプ場が有り、周辺の山々へ向かう際のベースキャンプとして利用される。北側の化雲岳にかかる万年雪渓が湖の水源。水場の周辺には高山植物の大群落が植生する。

Lake in the Sky is located at an altitude of 1,690 m in the central part of the Daisetsuzan mountain range. There is a shelter and campsite by the lake, which is used as a base camp when heading to the surrounding mountains. The source of the lake’s water comes from the Manyuan Snow Creek on Mt Hakeundake to the north. Large colonies of alpine plants grow around the waterhole.
