羊蹄山と倶知安町、比羅夫の町並み

羊蹄山は標高1,898mの活火山であり、北海道最大の独立峰。山体は支笏洞爺国立公園に属し、周囲5町村の（喜茂別町・京極町・倶知安町・真狩村・ニセコ町）の境界をなしている。倶知安町の比羅夫は宿泊施設やコンドミニアム、飲食店が立ち並ぶリゾート開発エリア。周辺の山域を含めて「ニセコリゾート」と呼ばれる。

Mt Yotei and the town of Kutchan, Hirau

Yotei is an active volcano at 1,898 m above sea level and the largest independent peak in Hokkaido. The mountain belongs to Shikotsu-Toya National Park and forms the boundary of five surrounding towns and villages (Kimobetsu-cho, Kyogoku-cho, Kutchan-cho, Makari-mura and Niseko-town). Hirao in Kutchan-cho is a resort development area with accommodation, condominiums and restaurants. The area is called ‘Niseko Resort’, including the surrounding mountain areas.
